Released in 1925.
Same as Type 3.6.2 except serial number on top right and lower left and position of GOVERNMENT OF INDIA on upper and lower margins shifted. A pattern star enclosed in a circular flower on top left and lower right in obverse is added from earlier type.

Rayed Star, GOVT OF INDIA and stylised GRI. Four wavy lines along the borders.
Note
The serial numbers were inversed to top right and bottom left from Type 3.6.2 by H. Denning to
obviate the fear of tearing of serial number due to nearness of the serial number to the top left which may cause it to be torn or obliterated by pinning or stitching.
