Printed in Nasik on white, handmade and moulded paper. Released on 24th April 1931. Demonetised on 12th January 1946. GOVERNMENT OF INDIA in top centre. Portrait of King George V in right window. 1000 written in all four corners. Serial number on top right and lower left. GRI below watermark window and portrait. Circle of issue in top centre. Rs. 1000 Rs. relief underprint in signature panel and 1000 below promise text. ONE / THOUSAND RUPEES in Lower Denomination Panel. Signed FOR THE ‘GOVT’ OF INDIA.

Reverse

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA on top. Farmer ploughing the field, lake and hills in the background. ONE THOUSAND RUPEES below. 1000 in four corners. Language panel in left window.

Note

Cut notes of lower left half have been observed with prefix X11 and X12. We need to see the full note to identify the circle. Notes of Rangoon circle with Prefix X6 were overprinted for use in Burma.See Type 5.3A.
