Printed in England by offset lithograph process using white, machine made paper. Printed signature.
Serial Number
Three. The font type and size identical for all three serial numbers.
Watermark
Wavy lines within a wavy rectangular panel. INDIA in centre and 5 RUPEES 5 below.
Note
Some notes of this type were Sea Sunk, C for Calcutta in S.S. Springwell and M for Madras in S.S. Chantala.
The serial numbers were reduced from four to three and the type of fonts changed from earlier Type. The serial number in lower right corner deleted to facilitate the space for ‘No.’ and the six digit serial number. The panel FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA was centered. The size of note marginally increased. Plate number and year eliminated from watermark.
