Relief underprint ONE RUPEE above and EK RUPAYA in Hindi below with ‘1’ on either side beneath serial number.

Reverse

GOVERNMENT / OF INDIA on top. SAU NAYE PAISE and 1 RUPAYA in Hindi and 1957 on coin. Mint mark – Noida. EK / RUPAYA in Hindi and ONE / RUPEE below coin. Language panel in centre. 1 on top corners. ‘Sau Naye Paise’ reflects the decimalisation of Indian currency which came into force from 1st April, 1957.
